Welcome to the LARA website. The idea of having a website was conceived a number of years ago and it has taken until now to get it up and running. It is intended to expand it over the coming months but that can only happen with the input of its members. So if you would like to see a particular item or feature on the website please email your suggestion to secretary@laraireland.com.
LARA was established in November 2000 as a means whereby Abbey Girls could renew and maintain old friendships nurtured while in school, to pass on the values and heritage of faith and culture we received and to take advantage of the support network, both on a personal and a commercial level, which still exists regardless of geography or time.
This objective is being met through various gatherings and events that are organised during the year – a golf competition, gatherings in Dublin (Collins Barracks, The National Gallery of Ireland and The Botanic Gardens) and outside of Dublin.
